Develop your Adventure Tribe with Canoe Trail
“Learn adventure skills and watersports activities, have fun and make new friends with Canoe Trail’s Adventure School programme for young people aged 14-25 in Bedfordshire.”
The adventure school programme provides fantastic opportunities for young people to enjoy the outdoors, re-wild themselves with nature and learn adventure skills such as canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, bushcraft and team challenges.
The programmes are designed to provide a stepping stone for young people to learn watersports like canoeing and kayaking, develop confidence and lifeskills and also help towards programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. They will develop lifeskills through outdoor learning challenges including teamwork, leadership, risk management, decision making, problem solving and communication.
The programme can be delivered in a location near you or as part of a residential format with a tailored syllabus for participants. This programme was funded by Sport England and has been delivered through organisations such as YMCA, Fun4YoungPeople, Young Carers, Local Schools with great results on attendance, self confidence, and life skills. To date we have provided adventure school to over 210 young people.
