Watersports Activities

Back by popular demand the Canoe Trail team are providing the water

Sports with a range of canoes, kayaks and SUP’s (stand up paddle boards). Under the watchful eye of their instructor team you can head onto the lake to simply cool down and relax or get a few pointers from professional coaches who have paddled many iconic locations around the world.

There will be a selection of the Silver Birch range from 15ft, 16ft and 17ft canoes as well as double kayaks, tourers and SUP’s. Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a great way to learn transferable paddling skills and is the world’s fastest growing watersport.  With some similar tuition from the Canoe Trail coaching team you will soon be paddling around the lake.

Price £7 per person for 20 mins on the water in kayaks, canoes, SUP’s.  This includes adults and children alike.

 

Giant SUP

Our giant SUP’s are great fun for families and individuals alike and offer the chance to use the same paddling skills as a team on our giant SUP’s that can hold 6-8 people.  Come and have a go on these giant paddling SUP’s.

 

Giant SUP Race

We will hold a giant Giant SUP Race on Saturday at 4pm which will be free for people to take part. Be warned this may result in getting a little damp.

 

Zorbing

Zorbing is back at the Bushcraft Show 2019 offering visitors the chance to run on water in our giant zorbs. The challenge is to stay standing as long as possible. A great ‘heart racing’ activity and fun for all the family.

Price £5 for 5 mins per person

 

Cardboard Box Boat Race

The showcase fun activity of the Bushcraft Show Watersports is the Card Board Box Boat Race where teams pit their wits and ingenuity against each other for the race in cardboard box crafts. The winner is the one to finish the course afloat in the fastest time but bragging rights may yet go to the team that makes us laugh the most.

Wild Swimming

Wild Swimming is a fast growing sport in the UK and further afield. The simple concept of enjoying messing around in rivers and lakes is gathering pace. Enjoy a swim under the watchful eye of Canoe Trail’s Safety Team at the designated times of:

Morning: 07:30 – 08.30 am

Evening: 6pm – 7pm

 

Swimming at other times is prohibited in watersports lake.
