Helen Reeves

Helen Reeve ProfileHelen is our only British Kayaking female medalist at the Olympics Games. Helen had an incredible journey from junior world champion, overcoming mutiple injuries to achieve sucess at Athens in 2004.  Since achieving her extraordinary runs in Greece Helen has gone on to become a BBC Commentator fat subsequent Olympics including Bejing, London, and Rio.  Helen has also worked as a TV Presenter for British Canoeing's Canoe Show. She is a  mum to Charlie and Maya and also a qualified relexologist

Helen is a fantastic inspirational speaker delivering her story with humble honesty and incredible fortitude. She has appeared on Question of Sport for what happened next?. Helen was a speaker at BBC Countryfile Live with Rich and also has been a speaker at the SHE Show (Safety, Health and Environment Show ) at St James Park.

Having worked together for years Helen and Paul and Ash and Rich have become good friends attending each other’s weddings, social events and generally sharing a love of Paddling. Paul Derby Dowman, Helen’s husband is a high-performance sprint coach for British Canoeing and attended 3 Olympics making the finals. Charlie and Maya, Helen’s kids have equally developed a love of the outdoors and Charlie is a keen paddler.
