Charity is really important to us. We have been lucky enough to support a wide range of charity endeavours raising money for great causes. This year has been no different with multiple events raising thousands for different charities. Read more about us giving back.

Young Farmers Charity Paddle

Tom Harwood and his team wanted to raise money for a number of charities and decided to paddle from Bedford to the Wash, about 75 miles on the River Great Ouse. We provided them with dedicated training as well as hiring them kit at special charity rates for their paddle. It went really well and we are proud to say that they raised over £3200 with the event.

Bromham Duck Race

Bromham Duck Race is held just below Bromham Bridge and hosted by the Bromham Mill. The race involves hundreds of small plastic ducks navigating the rapids for charity. We proud duck safety and recovery! Canoe Trail was delighted to support the event which raised a £1212 towards the upkeep of the historic Mill Building.

Forest of Marston Vale Ball

At the last moment due to unforeseen circumstances Richard and Canoe Trail was asked to host the charity Ball as MC and auction master. We gladly responded to their crisis call and stepped into the breach. The ‘Enchanted Forest Charity Ball’ was a huge success, great fun and raised over £6500 for charity. Perhaps a future career beckons for Rich as an auctioneer!

Faces Charity Paddle

Faces Charity provides support to families in crisis and vulnerable members of the community. Canoe Trail was asked to provide a team building charity event for local businesses to raise money for the charity. Lovely Larissa Clarke was the lead organizer for the event which saw 30 teams compete for the top prize on the day. Local Radio In2Beats won the event with a highly competitive effort and surely will be back to defend their title in 2017.

The date for the 2017 Faces Charity Challenge is set for 19th May 2017

Balfour Beatty Warrior Challenge 2017

Canoe Trail is working closely with Corporal Andy Reid (triple amputee) ,Glen Hughes and triple world record holder Andy North who are cycling, running and kayaking over 600 miles for the ABF Soldiers Charity. Andy, former solider of the year, has worked tirelessly for charity in the years after he was injured in Afghanistan by an IED. Although we are providing kayaks, training and support to this fundraising mission we are also working closely with great people we are proud to call our friends. The team will be kayaking the infamous Devizes to Westminster route with 76 portages and locks to contend with.

The Balfour Beatty Warrior Challenge takes place in June 2017 with the kayaking element from 24th to 29th (Finishing in Westminster) so please come and support us.
