Adventure School by Canoe Trail

Adventure school provides fantastic opportunities for young people to enjoy the outdoors, re-wild themselves with nature, and learn adventure skills such as canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, bushcraft, and team challenges.

This summer holiday club is designed to provide a stepping stone for young people to learn watersports like canoeing and kayaking, develop confidence and life skills and also help towards programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. They will develop lifeskills through outdoor learning challenges including teamwork, leadership, risk management, decision making, problem solving, and communication. To date, we have provided Adventure School to over 250 young people.

Partnerships

This programme was funded by Sport England and has been delivered through organisations such as YMCA, Fun4YoungPeople, Young Carers, Local Schools with great results on attendance, self-confidence, and life skills.
