Develop your Adventure Tribe and skills with Canoe Trail. The Adventure School is holiday activities for kids aged 8-15.
Participates will learn adventure skills, take part in watersports activities, have fun, and make new friends. They will also use life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communications on these programmes. Usually these range between our 'wet and wild' weeks and 'woodland wild' and we select locations to share the wilder parts of our local area. Programmes will either be based on Bedford's stunning Victorian Embankment or our private woodland in Willington.

Adventure school provides fantastic opportunities for young people to enjoy the outdoors, re-wild themselves with nature, and learn adventure skills such as canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, bushcraft, and team challenges.
This summer holiday club is designed to provide a stepping stone for young people to learn watersports like canoeing and kayaking, develop confidence and life skills and also help towards programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. They will develop lifeskills through outdoor learning challenges including teamwork, leadership, risk management, decision making, problem solving, and communication. To date, we have provided Adventure School to several thousand young people.
Adventure School has been endorsed by our friend Sir Ranulph Fiennes, (The World's Greatest Living Explorer according to the Guiness Book of Records) who has supported several of Richard's expeditions, who said:
"Adventure School is a fantastic programme for young people offering a blend of outdoor activities and all-important life skills. I have long maintained on my expeditions that selecting people with the right personal attributes is the key to success as you can teach and train the technical aspects. I am convinced that Adventure School will provide many young people with the foundation and grounding in life skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem solving and decision making to give them the best start in life. It will change lives and help prepare them for future challenges. Happy adventuring."
