Adventure School by Canoe Trail

Develop your Adventure Tribe with Canoe Trail

The Canoe Trail Adventure School is for young people aged 14-25 in Bedfordshire. Participates will learn adventure skills, take part in watersports activities, have fun, and make new friends.

Adventure school provides fantastic opportunities for young people to enjoy the outdoors, re-wild themselves with nature, and learn adventure skills such as canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, bushcraft, and team challenges.

The programmes are designed to provide a stepping stone for young people to learn watersports like canoeing and kayaking, develop confidence and life skills and also help towards programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. They will develop lifeskills through outdoor learning challenges including teamwork, leadership, risk management, decision making, problem solving, and communication.

The programme can be delivered in a location near you or as part of a residential format with a tailored syllabus for participants. To date, we have provided Adventure School to over 210 young people.

This programme was funded by Sport England and has been delivered through organisations such as YMCA, Fun4YoungPeople, Young Carers, Local Schools with great results on attendance, self-confidence, and life skills.
