Payment and Booking Conditions

  • Bookings are to be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable. There will be no refunds for early returns, poor weather or non-usage.
  • Dates of bookings can only be moved with Canoe Trail’s approval and the activity can only be rebooked within the same year and at Canoe Trail’s discretion. Please note that once you have confirmed your preferred booking date with confirmation from Canoe Trail then it is not then transferable and non refundable in the same way you book an airline seat.
  • Changes to a booking will only be accepted from the original booking contact (the “designated responsible adult”), and if multiple changes are required, Canoe Trail asserts the right to make an administrative charge of £10 per change (at our discretion). The designated responsible adult will also be responsible for making all payments to Canoe Trail, as well as other responsibilities as mentioned within our general terms & conditions.
  • Canoe Trail reserves the right to change craft, dates, times, and locations if required.
  • Please read your joining instructions before the day of your booking. It is full of useful and relevant information.
  • You will incur an additional charge of £20 per hour, per craft if arriving later than the agreed end time.


Safety and Activities

  • Kayaking, canoeing and SUP's outdoor activities can be physically and mentally challenging and may involve considerable exertion
  • Those under 21 years old must be accompanied by an adult
  • The possibility of injury exists within these activities
  • The activities are on the water and there is a risk of getting wet and cold
  • Equipment such as buoyancy aids are provided and removal of kit without prior permission will put participants in danger
  • Moving water can be dangerous and there is a risk of drowning. You and members of your party must be confident in the water and happy to take part in the activity.
  • Cars parking and vehicle movements are at the owner's risk and care should be taken when unloading and loading.
  • Canoe Trail does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to valuables during activities
  • Failure to listen to instructions from our guides and instructors can increase the risk and dangers.
  • We take our environmental responsibility very seriously so please do not cause a nuisance to wild animals, litter or drop plastics, and where possible leave only ripples.
  • You don't need to be able to swim as a buoyancy aid will be provided.
  • You should be physically fit for the activity to be undertaken
  • Please make Canoe Trail aware of any medical conditions that could prevent you from taking part or whether you or a member of your party requires additional support.
  • Start and finish times are on your booking form. As stated on your booking form you are required to arrive 10 mins before your start time. It is the customer’s responsibility to honour them. 
  • Canoe Trail reserves the right to refuse anyone who is deemed to be intoxicated or unsafe to take part in the activity. No refund will be given.

 Photo and Media Permission

Canoe Trail take photos and video from time to time at the start of hire sessions, activities, courses and trips

Media capture may include general images, video, interviews, and commentary highlighting the benefits of paddling, climbing and the great outdoors

As part of the booking terms and conditions you grant us royalty free use to share imgaes, video and other media on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter as well as on our website, in print and for general markteting and promotion of outdoor activities.

Canoe Trail recognise that in some instances such as children and young people parents or carers may not provide photo consent. In this instance photos and material will not be taken or captured. Parents, carers and group leaders such as school teachers should advise us where photo consent is not granted.

Our images and media are primarily to provide fond memories of fresh air miles and time in the great outdoors

Competition Terms and Conditions

Yes we are giving away some cool trips, courses and paddling kit and Yes we want you to like us but worst case you are simply connected to a group of adventurous people and a pretty cool Watersports business :)

We are also giving away the following stash, canoe trips and courses:

  • £300 of stash from Red Paddle Co including:
    • A funky change robe

  • A canoe and camp trip for 4 people at our award winning private woodland
  • A Two Bare Feet Carbon Paddle worth £200

So here goes with the small print

Entries:  competitions are open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man

There are no age limits that apply to the competition but trips and courses require adult supervision. In the absence of an explicit age notification then please assume that it is open to all ages.

Employees of Canoe Trail Ltd and their families are not eligible to submit a competition entry.

General Competition Details:

Entrants will be registered by ‘Liking’ and ‘Sharing’ our Facebook page

It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules.

Closing date for entries (sharing and liking) on our Facebook channel will be midnight on April Fools Day (no joke intended) 1st April 2022

Canoe Trail reserves the right to alter, amend or otherwise change the terms of the competition in the interest of the participant without prior notification. 

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

All entries must be received by the closing date as advertised on the specific competition page.

The requirements of an entry are stipulated on any communication communicated by canoe trail

Winning entries will be contacted by Facebook messenger

Only one entry per person.

Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted.

No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

The promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the result thereof.


Winners will be randomly selected.

Winners Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or other products

The winners may be required to participate in publicity.

The winners name and county may be disclosed to anyone enquiring within one month after the winners are announced.

The winners name and county may be displayed on the Canoe Trail website.

Winners will be notified via social media based on their interaction with the Canoe Trail page. Winners must respond within 1 calendar month e.g. before 1st May 2022 to claim their prize


English Law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
