Mind & Body on SUP Boards

Transition Coaching and Canoe Trail are very excited to partner up to create a 4 week Relaxing SUP course, called Paddlefit Mind & Body, this is not your standard SUP course!

Dates
4 sessions  -  05/08/24 and 12/08/24 and 19/08/24 (3 x coached sessions plus a half day paddle trip from Kempston)
 
Requirements
Suitable for beginners to experienced paddlers. All are welcome in these mixed group sessions. Places will be limited to ensure a small group feel to encourage a calming atmosphere.
Timings
Each week starts 6.00pm to 7.30pm (1.5-hour session), the 1/2 day hire session can be booked at a time of your choosing

What you will need to bring

Bring comfortable clothing such as gym wear, shorts, a t-shirt or wetsuit, along with a pair of water shoes, or old trainers. Bring a towel and a change of clothes. No special equipment or clothing is required.

Session Details

With the experiences of the past year, we feel it’s more important than ever to look after our mental well-being and getting outdoors to paddle (in our opinion) is just about the best way to do this. It’s also ideal as a safe socially distanced activity.
This course will incorporate learning to Stand Up Paddleboard in a relaxed environment by a friendly experienced SUP Instructor while being centered around your well-being to help you unwind.
 
Taking to the water is well known for its restorative benefits and we shall be coupling this with stretching and breathing techniques, lead by a friendly experienced personal trainer to help you get the most from your time on the water. Sessions will be rounded off with sit spots, essential oils and relaxing herbal teas to help bring ourselves back into balance.
 
If you’re finding the current times particularly challenging or feel some downtime would ease the burden this could be for you.
