Due to high demand, spaces are booked quickly. If you cannot select a date then it has been fully booked. Participants may only book days or places for up to one week to allow places and capacity to be shared.

HAF Dates & Eligibility: April 4th to 8th, 11th and 12th 

To secure a funded space, children must be on the Bedford Borough register as receiving benefit-related free schools meals with the council. Participants' names will be checked once booked.

SEND Dates & Eligibility: April 13th and 14th

While our activities are inclusive, young people attending must be capable of participation with our standard activity ratio of 2 instructors for 16 particles (e.g 1:8 ratio) Young people requiring 1:1 care or increased supervision are not able to attend without a carer present.

Please note, it is important that staff are made aware of any dietary allergies or special requirements.

Participates will learn adventure skills, take part in outdoor activities, have fun, and make new friends. They will use life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.

Important Information

Ages & Behaviour
The age range for the activities is from age 5 – 16. You will need to notify us of any dietary requirements, learning, or behavioural difficulties when booking. Each participant is expcted to adhere to a behaviour code of conduct which will be sent after booking. All participants must follow the social distancing guidelines and listen to the instructors. You need to ensure you drop off and collect your child promptly at the designated times.

Food
Food will be cooked and prepared onsite as part of the adventure school including a pizza oven, baking, and campfires, and more.

Eligibility
Your child is eligible if you receive any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

We will double-check eligibility with the Local Authority before confirming your attendance.

All equipment included as part of the course. What participants will need to bring:

  • Spare clothes including shoes as there is the possibility of getting wet!
  • Waterproof jacket.
  • Sun hat.
  • Antibac for hands.
  • Medication if applicable.
