I love being outside and for me, one of life’s simplest pleasures is to paddle a canoe, kayak, or stand up paddleboard with my camping gear and spend the night or nights in a remote location.

There is no better way to explore the River Ouse and the history of the Bedford area than by canoe or kayak. It allows you to sample the living history at a peaceful pace.

The River Great Ouse meanders through leafy countryside and our canoe trails offer our guests the opportunity to witness the wide range of wildlife and birds in their natural environment. 

Autumn is one of my favourite times for camping, adventures and getting out on to the water.
